A month after it's release and we FINALLY get together to see the Sex and the City 2 movie...another great movie...maybe not as great as the first, but nonetheless, good enuff for me! Then off to Toscana for drinks and Delrose for some dancin'...it was definitely a 'different' night....and I'll leave it at that....maybe it was a full moon?!

Canal Days-Chesapeak Inn
At the last minute Tina and I decided to hit MD for some much needed fun...great weather requires an outdoor event. CANAL DAYS! It was my first time going here...I thought it was a one day event, turns out it's a 3 day (all w/e), day and night. If you have a boat, you definitely enjoy this day! No boat for us, but I had something far better...FRIENDS!

Sarah's Birthday Celi
TODAY is actually Sarah's bd, but we knew she would be busy so Jody and I took her to the Waterfront on Thursday to celebrate her big day! We went to Timothy's and had a BLAST...great food and drinks, and the night ended with a tow truck...Jody's car died...and so did our buzz...lol...:)
Happy Birthday, MOM!
My mom's bd was yesterday, but since we were all in MD for a graduation party, we missed celebrating it...so today, we grilled some burgers, dogs and filet mignon, sang happy birthday and had lot's of treats and spirits...surrounded by her loving grandkids!!!

Butterfly Kisses...
Lately, out of the BLUE, Ashlee has been asking me alot of questions about when I'm going to die...she cries and say she doesn't want me to die...I have no idea where this is coming from, or WHY she is thinking this? Perhaps it's all the talk about my dad who is dying from 2 cancers?? She sees how sick he is and knows something is wrong. She is only 5 years old, so I know she is young and doesn't understand. Her great grandfather passed away last November and she didn't get upset. But all of a sudden she is asking me questions about when he is coming back from Heaven, etc. HAYLEE on the other hand, took it extremely hard...she sobbed for days, and still does periodically here and there (she keeps a framed pic of him and her by her bedside). So, I'm struggling with what to say or how to handle this gentle subject!
So, my good friend Susan, who works for the Wellness Community and deals alot with families going thru cancer, sent me a link for a book called Butterfly Kisses. It deals with adults trying to explain death or an illness to their young child. So...I decided to buy it and plan to read it to my kid's because I think anything that will help them down the road with understanding this very confusing aspect, is worth buying! (I think they should have a book like this for families with young kids going thru divorce! I have several friends who are struggling with that aspect of trying to explain it to their young kids!)
Stay tuned...I will let you know how the book turns out!
