Princess Party!

Happy 5th birthday to Miss Lyndsie...Cinderella herself came to visit and brought lot's of fun things for the little girls! They got to pick out their dresses, jewelry, make-up, fairy dust, hand painting...they played games, and danced it up! They were all truly in awe of Cinderella, especially lil' Jess, who was too funny and couldn't stop touching Cinderella's dress...:)

Dinner Celebration

I decided to throw a lil' dinner party for Tina to celebrate her big day...it's been a crazy year for her and stressful times, so I whipped up some crab cakes, salmon, rice, asparagus, salad and appi's, and Staci made a low-fat Angel food cake...kids sang to her and made her a ton of cards...we also had a small 'surprise' planned, which brightened her day!!!!

What a difference a YEAR makes...

First off...a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to my Tina-bina!!! Secondly, what a difference a year makes...she looks like a totally new person...LOVE IT!! So, it's been a crazy year my friend, but you were (are) strong, you stuck to your plan, and I bet by this time NEXT year, I will be saying this post all over again w/ other 'changes', LOL!! Here's to a wonderful new year, new life, NEW YOU!!!!

My Dad

Most of you know my dad is suffering from pancreatic cancer AND lymphoma. To date no treatment has been scheduled...just lots and lots of tests...it's VERY FRUSTRATING!

And most of you know we have a HUGE family and lots of friends, so I thought since I do email updates to everyone, it might actually be better if I set up a Caring Bridge page dedicated to my dad. This way, anyone can sign up for automatic updates, and they can fwd the link to anyone else too.

So, I've set up his page today (see link below), and it's still in the very early stages, but expect updated journal entries starting tomorrow, on test, treatments, results, etc...I will also add photos, etc.

GNO for January Birthday's!

One of THEE most fun nights I've had out with EVERYONE in a long time...hands down, best time!!! We all went out to celebrate the January birthday girls' (me, Tina, Karen, Denise) at Toscana's and went thru over 12 bottles of wine!! We laughed, danced, and just down right had the best time ever!! Love girl time...thank you to everyone who came out!! Denise, we really missed you, but we made sure to drink it up in your honor...til next time girlies!!!

Wish comes true....

TA-DAAAA...finally, after 2 postings on my blog of how I LOVE the David Yurman rings, my hubs finally came thru!!! Here is my ring...luv it! However, it's a smidge too big...grrr...

This is the other DY ring I LUV that I had FIRST posted about...they are very similar, but the top ring has a bunch of mini diamonds where the below ring is one solid diamond. I still want this one someday...is that horrible or what...lol!

My final bd wish was for my dad to start feeling better, and don't you know, the day of my bd celebration, it was the FIRST time in months that he felt completely FINE...YAY! It was nice to have him back to his normal self, if only for that one day...:) Chemo starts next week...:(

Birthday Celebration #2

You just don't celebrate your birthday ON your day...you then celebrate it that weekend...and that we did. Mom and sibs put on a nice event with appis, dinner and cake...oh, and lots-o-wine! We spent the night and did brunch and mimosa's the next morn. Looking fwd to celebration #3, with GNO for all us January Gals!!!!

Me...Myself...and I...

That was my gift to myself today for my birthday! I refer to it as a "Maureen Day!" I took the day OFF. Appointment to get a hair cut, pedi and run errands. Nothing fancy, just a few hours to devote to myself. I awoke this morn to my awesome family showering me w/ home made bd cards...and it was snowing...looks so nice out, but uh...enuff of that now, I'm not a Winter weathered person and I hate driving in snow....I miss the sun, sand, and beaches (hence my call name DeweyBEACHgirl....!) So, another year older...and very blessed for my health, my friends, and my family....they are SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

2nd Front Tooth GONE!

Her 2nd front tooth finally came out on my birthday morning...she was so excited. I was so happy because it was so loose it was just waving to me when she talked, I wanted to yank it OUT...gross...lol!

Eagle's Game

It was our turn to host the Eagle's game...and boy was it cold and WINDY! Even though they lost BIG time, it was just what I needed to get over my lil' slump! Tons of food, and great company!
